Braided (plaited) rugs are a very useful way of recycling old fabrics and are easy to make. The rugs below have taken me between three weeks and six months to make. Items made in a smoke free home.
March 2010 - braided rug # 3 ( medium) This rug took approx five weeks to make and is a mixture of cotton and linen fabrics.
March 2010 - braided rug # 4 ( medium) This rug I made by recycling some old threadbare flannelette pillowcases. I used five altogether, to make this soft rug specially for our two cats. The pastel colours work really well together.
